What is WOWBii Interactive Learning Space (WILS)?

As changes unfold in education and technology, innovations in architectural forms and buildings can be leveraged in upgrading teaching and learning spaces to complete education technology (EdTech) transformation.

The post Covid-19 era affords a great opportunity to develop, grow and sustain vibrant learning ecosystems in the State. A makeover that begins from within the classroom itself to the external ambiance.

Schools are transiting from chalk-, marker-led classrooms and laboratories to fit-for-purpose, digital, interactive, IT-compliant and environmentally-friendly learning spaces. Derelict and run-down brick and mortar infrastructure can be rapidly refur- bished into modular, contemporary learning areas.

The social impact of this digitalization investment (WILS) will be immediate and long-term, creating excited and enthusiastic learners with world-class learning tools.

WILS are purpose-built facilities that provide a clear pathway to achieving the requirements of contemporary teaching and learning spaces.

Using environmentally friendly components, we deliver infrastructure that is scalable and moderately easy to move; flexible learning spaces that can be adapted at quick notice and immersive, interactive technology tools that deliver life-long learning.

At the core, WILS is built to drive outstanding contemporary teaching. Beginning with technology appreciation, a curated Teacher program trains and certifies Tutor for tech- nology use and application on curriculum delivery. Training covers in-class technology hardware and software including WOWBii’s large format devices, personal devices and classroom applications and accessories.

In addition to training, we provide best-in-class onsite product warranty service and support.

We provide the base for interactive learning and layer with applications and training to deliver an environment for lifelong learning.

In order to deliver the learning spaces in the shortest possible time and with lesser cost, modular buildings are the most desired solution. This would require either erecting new buildings or retrofitting existing modern brick & mortar buildings with WOWBii’s EdTech. The building will run on solar power with good internet access for research and learning.

WOWSCHOOL™ ARCHITECTURE

WILS Modular Structure

We have identified Modular Structures as the pre- ferred building system that will enable us to achieve this goal at the desired time and cost. These units can be easily turned around into liveable spaces to meet specific needs and are flexible enough to have as many designs as possible.

Modular Structures are originally designed to carry heavy loads and are stackable in high columns (up to eight units high), which simplifies design, planning and construction.

These units are made from steel and thus have the req- uisite strength to make conversion and use very easy to achieve as they are the perfect building blocks for fast affordable construction that are basically cheaper. The speed of construction depends on the size and com- plexity of the project ranging within an average of 4 weeks to 10 weeks.

In comparison with the traditional concrete, brick and mortar construction, modular designs are usually about 20% - 30% cheaper depending on the design and style.
